Now owned by Chuck and Chris Boyle, the dealership was founded by their father, Clarence, in 1968.

After serving in the Army during World War II, Clarence Boyle, Sr. returned to his native Harford County taking a job driving a delivery truck for Kroh's Cleaners in Bel Air. Clarence married the former Irene Kahoe in 1948. Their first of six children, Chuck, was born three years later.
Clarence responded to the financial pressures of raising a family by re-uniting with his old friend, Joe Lee, and joining the sales force at Lee Buick in Perryman. Over the course of the next 16 years, Clarence became the top sales consultant in the zone and one of the top Buick sales consultants in the country.
When Clarence purchased the dealership in 1968, it meant the end of the Lee family's fifty-plus years of stewardship of Harford County's Buick headquarters, and the start of a new relationship between the Boyle family and their loyal Buick customers. We think of this relationship as "The Boyle Buick GMC Truck Family."
The dealership moved to its present location on Emmorton Road in Abingdon in 1977. After 25 years as a Buick dealer, Clarence sold the dealership to two of his sons, Chuck and Chris, in 1994. Clarence remains actively involved as Chairman of the Board.
More than 40 years after Boyle Buick was founded, Clarence Boyle's vision to be the very best continues as the guiding principle of Boyle Buick GMC Truck today. His total commitment to his customers and his community established the benchmark for the dealership.
