2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD
Changes for the 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD
After a complete redesign for 2020, the GMC Sierra 3500HD thunders into 2021 with minor changes. The heavy-duty pickup has three new exterior colors on offer, plus the Multipro tailgate becomes standard on the SLE trim. Engines stay the same, including the powerful 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel with up to 910 pound-feet of torque.
Trailering Made Easier
Other updates for the 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD include an available jackknife alert and several rear trailer and bed view enhancements for easier trailer hookups and safer towing. Smart trailer integration lets you monitor and control various features on compatible trailers, including HVAC operation and power slide-outs.
Style and Substance
The 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD looks good in any trim. Indulge yourself in the heated and ventilated front seats of the Denali trim, decked out in perforated leather. The Denali also adds power-retractable running boards for 2021, while the AT4 trim features an available high-clearance step and mud-terrain tires.
With its innovative Multipro tailgate and up to 15 available camera views, it’s no surprise the GMC Sierra HD earned the ALG Innovation Award for 2020. J.D.
